Quick and easy!

So today I got rather bored while helping my Mum on her stall.

She's been making suffolk Puffs for weeks to sell so I thought I'd take a few and sew them on to a boring chain I had on.

All I used was a needle and thread I found already threaded. God knows what it was being used for. I used Suffolk Puffs and the thin chain.

Just evenly space them out round the necklace and sew them on through the loops of the chain. 

Boom. Bing. Bang. You're done!

In my third CAD session I learnt how to scale, use proportion and filters, and I used the type tool. 

Just like my last session I began with a basic outline.
I did this with Illustrator and drew around it with the pen tool.

I began to add symbols and created patterns using the proportions.
I really like the fire in her eyes and the trees. 

This is showing how I used filters to distort/mangle her head and shoulder.
I thought her head look really cool and funky.

I began adding text.
I realise it doesn't say anything in English but I liked the lettering.
I also made the letters multi coloured like her head but you can't really see it.

I then changed the way the writing was typed.
I changed it to a spiral and wrote what I could see on the  picture. 

I took off the spiral and just wrote my name in the cool lettering from earlier. 

I found using most of the effects pretty straight forward and I'm getting used to using all the different tools.

ZIPPY!!!

Using Illustrator I had to create a zip puller.

I find Illustrator easy to use so I found no problems with this task.

I was really proud of my outcome and I think it looks a lot like a real zip.

Bringing the effects into play!

During CAD lessons I learnt how to use many effects, ways of editing pictures and changing colours etc... 

In my second session I learnt how to use the tools to create different strokes, widths, brushes and learning how to use the colour tools.

I found most of these exercises quite simple because it was just a process of selecting the lines/sections I wanted to change and messing with the tool boxes and options.

I think the part I found the hardest was when I had to choose which fancy affect I wanted, there is so many you can choose from! 

This was my starting point, I drew around an image on Illustrator.
I edited the stroke widths and colours of the lines.

I began playing around with brush strokes and different brushes.

This is just a different affect and colour used on the head.

This is my final image, I chose to change the skirt and head.
I used the affect I used on the skirt in earlier images to create the woman's body.

Do you know how to create effects on Illustrator and Photoshop (CAD?)

Specific details on specific drawings.

For my final collection I had to do spec drawings of my garments with the details, seams and the correct shapes for the garments. 

I struggled a little on getting the exact shape and adding all the right seams but I think my CAD skills have improved considering I've only been doing it for 2 years!

I was so happy with the outcome of these CAD drawings although my circle skirt on outfit one doesn't have it's cut outs drawn on as I thought it would take too long and would be SO difficult. I will do a close up so you can see them!
